Minnesota Valley School of Music is a consortium of professional teachers offering quality music education through individual studios in their various specialties:

MVSM has a Suzuki Program in Violin, Viola, Cello, and  Flute

For pre-schoolers, MVSM offers all 4 levels of Kindermusik

The School was established in 1989 and was formerly located in Bloomington until the growth of the school required more space. We have our own building designed especially for private lessons, group classes and recitals. The school is conveniently located for the south Minneapolis and St. Paul area with easy access from Cedar Avenue and the Cross-town Freeway.

During the school year, students of all ages from pre-school through adult enroll for weekly classes and lessons.The school year is divided into Fall, Winter and Spring trimesters with students paying for 11 lessons each session. At least 6 weeks of summer lessons are offered by each teacher’s studio.

The school offers performance opportunities through solo recitals, ensemble and group concerts. Many of our students also participate in other musical activities or organizations such as Suzuki Festivals, Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies, Minnesota Youth Symphony, MMTA & National Piano Teacher’s Guild Auditions.

Our teachers are committed to excellence with broad teaching experience, performance skills and educational backgrounds. You are invited to talk with a prospective teacher and to visit MVSM prior to registering. Students may enroll midterm with tuition pro-rated for that session.
